Shaimaa Hassan, MBT, has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology. Shaimaa most recently worked as a Quality Control and Production Scientist at MagnaBioSciences, LLC starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Lab Manager and Research Assistant II at Veterans Medical Research Foundation starting in November 2020.

From June 2020 to November 2020, Shaimaa worked as a Production Chemist II at Abbott. Before that, they were a Scientist II at Zoetis Inc. from September 2018 to June 2020. Shaimaa also worked as a Chemist II at KESTREL BIOSCIENCES, LLC from April 2018 to August 2018.

Shaimaa began their academic journey at the Institute Medical technology from 2001 to 2003, earning an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Following this, Shaimaa attended the University of Baghdad from 2004 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Seeking further specialization, they then enrolled at Point Loma Nazarene University from 2013 to 2014, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Determined to excel in their field, Shaimaa pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology at California State University San Marcos, graduating in 2020.
