Smita Chirputkar-Mehta

Smita Chirputkar-Mehta has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Smita has held multiple positions in the technology space at Techlead Software Engineering Pvt. Ltd. from 1995. In 2003, they joined Credit Suisse as a Project Manager and then moved up to Vice President in the Hedge Fund Index Group. In 2011, they joined Standard & Poor's as an Associate Director where they collaborated with internal stakeholders to achieve client goals and meet launch deadlines. In 2014, they joined S&P Dow Jones Indices as Director and was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing indices in factor, thematic, ESG, multi-asset, and retirement space. Smita is currently the Head of Quantitative Products at VettaFi since 2022.

Smita Chirputkar-Mehta has a solid educational background. Smita holds a M.Eng. in Financial Engineering from Cornell University, a M.Sc. in Statistics from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and a B.Sc. in Statistics from the same university.
