Jim Wilmot has a diverse range of work experience in the field of media production. Jim started as an Ad Studio Intern at CHI&Partners in 2013 before transitioning to a Creative Assistant role at Channel 5. At Channel 5, they worked on various TV and commercial productions, gaining experience in development and production roles. In 2014, Jim joined Universal Music Group as a Creative Production Assistant, where they supported the production team in delivering music broadcast and brand content projects. Jim then progressed to the role of Creative Brand Content Manager, responsible for connecting artist teams to emerging tech platforms and developing brand partnership campaigns. In 2020, they joined Vevo as a Producer for EU content and later became the Director of Original Content for Vevo EU. In these roles, they were involved in developing and producing original music content for digital platforms and collaborating with artists and creatives.
Jim Wilmot obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of Southampton, which they pursued from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Esher College from 2007 to 2009, where they completed A Levels in English Literature, Economics, History, and Mathematics. In December 2019, Jim Wilmot also obtained a certification as an Adobe Certified Associate in Digital Video Using Adobe Premiere Pro, awarded by Adobe.
