Andrew Fierro

Andrew Fierro has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Andrew started their career as a Business Application Developer at ARMtech Insurance Services Inc., where they maintained and created reports, forms, and components of legacy business applications. Andrew then worked as a Seasonal Hourly Utility Worker for the City of Amarillo, performing various tasks such as cleaning golf ball cleaning stations and maintaining golf tees.

Andrew subsequently served as a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Amarillo Independent School District, assisting special education students with assignments and supporting teachers with curriculum development. Andrew also worked as a Web Content Editor at West Texas A&M University, creating and maintaining webpages for the university website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Prior to that, Andrew had roles as a General Laborer at Perry Williams, LLC, where they performed custodial and minor construction duties, and as a Web Designer at 887 Media, where they created and maintained webpages and websites using Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Andrew also gained experience as a Sales Associate at AutoNation, where they interacted with customers and processed vehicle purchases. Furthermore, they interned as an Information Technology - Inventory Intern at Happy State Bank, where they tagged and identified IT items and recorded their information using Microsoft Office Excel.

More recently, Andrew worked as a Pizza Cook at Pizzeria Nomad, slicing pizzas, cleaning dishes, and disposing of food products as directed. Their most recent role is as a Residential Sales Representative at Vexus Fiber.

Andrew Fierro began their education at Amarillo College in 2007, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science in 2010. Andrew then continued their studies at West Texas A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science in 2012. Following a gap in their education, Andrew returned to Amarillo College in 2020 to pursue an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Data Science, which they completed in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Andrew has obtained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In April 2022, they earned the Google Data Analytics Certificate from Coursera. Subsequently, in May 2023, Andrew obtained the Certified Secure Computer User (C/SCU) certification from EC-Council.
