Richard Martinez

Richard Martinez has extensive experience in public outreach and governmental affairs, with over two decades in various roles across different organizations. Since 2011, Richard has served as the Community and Business Outreach Specialist at VIA Metropolitan Transit. Prior positions include working in Government Affairs focusing on Federal Affairs at the Texas Department of Transportation (2009-2011) and as the Assistant to the Border Commission Coordinator at the Texas Secretary of State (2007-2009). Additional roles include District Director for U.S. Representative Henry Bonilla and various positions within the Railroad Commission of Texas and U.S. Department of Transportation. Richard holds degrees from Texas A&M International University, Laredo Community College, St. Edwards University, and has studied at the University of Texas at Austin.
