Gerald Leung

Gerald Leung is a skilled Systems Control Engineer with extensive experience in automotive and embedded systems, currently employed at VIA Motors since April 2015. At VIA Motors, Gerald has developed a system-wide MiL architectural platform and engaged in controls development using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow. Prior to this role, Gerald worked as a Systems and Full Stack Developer at Mojio, focusing on large-scale server development for IoT applications. Previous positions included roles in systems control and embedded software engineering at companies such as Rapid Electric Vehicles, Azure Dynamics, and Weir Jones Engineering, where experience was gained in powertrain control strategies, firmware development, and hardware testing. Gerald holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria and has completed a Business Analysis program at the Beedie School of Business, further complemented by a Technology Diploma in Robotics and Automation from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
