Martin Huizer

Martin Huizer has a diversified work experience in finance and project management roles. Martin currently serves as the Group Finance Director at VIA Outlets since February 2023. Before that, they were the Group Finance Manager at the same company from December 2020 to February 2023. Prior to VIA Outlets, Martin worked as a Project Manager at Interim Finance Solutions starting in September 2016. Martin also worked as a Finance Project Manager at Hollander Barendrecht from July 2020 to November 2020. Martin has previous experience at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where they held various roles such as Head of Accounting, Finance Project Leader, Senior Accountant, and Corporate Accountant between 2017 and 2020. Martin also worked as a Controller at Ecorys from September 2016 to April 2017. Additionally, Martin served as a Corporate Accountant at Unibail-Rodamco from November 2015 to August 2016, Project Consultant at TriFinance from November 2014 to August 2016, and Project Assistant at S5 Agency World Ltd from April 2015 to October 2015. Martin started their career as an Auditor at EY from December 2014 to April 2015 and then worked at PwC as a (Senior) Consultant from January 2012 to December 2014 and as an Assistant from May 2010 to January 2012.

Martin Huizer has a diverse education history in the field of accountancy. Martin obtained a Master's Degree in Accountancy and Control (part-time) from the University of Amsterdam, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy (part-time) from Avans University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, they completed their Propedeuse (full-time) in Accountancy from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2008.

In terms of certifications, Martin obtained the Prince2 Foundation certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in January 2016.
