Shreya Dave

Shreya Dave is the CEO of Via Separations. Shreya was previously a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2012 to May 2017. Dave also worked as a research assistant at the MIT Daylighting Lab from September 2009 to January 2012.

Dave discovered their love of research, design, and the intersection of people and technology while working as a research assistant. Shreya developed an analytical methodology to define performance metrics in energy efficiency, visual comfort, and view through for complex fenestration systems. Dave also evaluated the role of quantitative metrics and standards in building energy efficiency policy.

Dave is passionate about teaching and learning and loves getting their hands dirty. Shreya believes that planning, executing, and getting their hands dirty embody the thrill of learning as an engineer.

Shreya Dave has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an S.M. in Energy Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an S.M. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Shreya also has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
