Amitai Netser Zernik has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Lead Scientist at Via since November 2019. Prior to this, they worked as an Algorithm Researcher at Via from June 2018 to November 2019. From September 2016 to April 2018, they served as a Postdoc (Member of School of Math) at the Institute for Advanced Study. Before that, they worked as a Research Intern at Google from August 2011 to November 2011, where they focused on learning the solution to Rubik's cube using group theory and reinforcement learning. They also gained experience in handwriting recognition using generative models for stroke data, using LISP and Python. Amitai Netser Zernik completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics and Amirim Special Honors Program from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2007. Amitai further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mathematics in 2010. Amitai then continued their studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematics in 2016.
