Ale Paredes

Ale Paredes is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Viam since November 2023, Ale previously held the position of Engineering Manager at Stripe from February 2021 to September 2023. Prior roles include VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, and various engineering management positions at Code Climate from January 2017 to February 2021, and Full Stack Developer at FINALCAD from July 2014 to December 2016. Ale began a career in mobile development, founding ale7714 Designs, where mobile applications for BlackBerry were created and sold between December 2009 and July 2013. Earlier experience includes roles at NetserGroup IT Services as an Application Engineer, and as Consultant at Hotel Lincoln Suites. Ale holds a degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Bolívar, earned between 2005 and 2013.
