Marta Velasquez

Marta Velasquez is an experienced video editor and supervisor with a comprehensive background in the media industry. Currently serving as an Edit Supervisor and Lead Video Editor at VICE Media since 2010, Marta has developed a robust skill set over the years. Previous roles include Freelance Video Editor for various organizations, including Seechange Films, Ch4, CNN, and Aljazeera from 2008 to 2015. In addition, Marta held the position of Company Director & Video Editor at Filmdependence Ltd from 2005 to 2015 and contributed as a Video Editor, Video Director, and Media Sales Manager for Birds Eye View Film Festival from 2005 to 2007. Marta's early career began as a Runner Trainee at Rushes Post-production. Educationally, Marta holds a BA Hons in Fine Art and Theoretical Studies with a focus on British and European Film Studies from Kingston University, complemented by a Fine Arts Foundation from Winchester School of Art.
