Pingping (Joanna) Cai

Pingping (Joanna) Cai's work experience includes an upcoming role as a Research Associate II at Vicinitas Therapeutics starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the University of California, San Francisco from 2018 to 2023, where they held various roles including Staff Research Associate II + Lab Manager in the Mikawa Lab, Staff Research Associate I in the Mikawa Lab, and CIRM Research Intern in the Panning Lab. Pingping (Joanna)'sresponsibilities included conducting independent research on mitotic cellular dynamics and chromosome organization, developing data collection strategies, optimizing time-lapse live cell imaging microscopy systems, and conducting quantitative data analysis using specialized imaging processing software. Before joining UCSF, Pingping worked as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant at Lee Dental Corporation from 2016 to 2018.

Pingping (Joanna) Cai pursued their education in Microbiology at San Francisco State University from 2013 to 2017. Pingping (Joanna) obtained a Bachelor of Science degree during this period. In addition to their degree, Pingping also acquired two certifications. In May 2018, they obtained a Stem Cell Technology Certificate from City College of San Francisco. Furthermore, in April 2022, they earned a Flow Cytometry Training Certificate from abcam.
