Kamal Abhinay

Kamal Abhinay has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Kamal began their career at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where they worked as a Developer, Tech Lead, and Solution Architect from 2006 to 2012. During this time, they focused on refactoring J2EE applications into modular components and implementing Service Oriented Architecture principles to improve system resilience and availability.

In 2012, Kamal joined L Brands as a Principal Engineer and Manager. Kamal was responsible for managing multiple engineering teams and overseeing the development of APIs to support Victoria's Secret Direct business. Kamal also played a key role in hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of 40+ engineers.

Most recently, Kamal took on leadership roles at Victoria's Secret, starting as the Director of Engineering in 2021 and then becoming the Head of Engineering in April 2022.

Throughout their career, Kamal has demonstrated expertise in building and managing complex systems, handling bursty traffic scenarios, and delivering successful digital platforms.

Kamal Abhinay holds a Bachelor's degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University. Kamal is also TOGAF 9.1 Certified from the Open Group, obtained in 2013.
