Paul Corscadden has extensive work experience in various roles within the manufacturing and technical industry. From 1990 to 1997, they worked at DSM Moulding Development Centre as an Applications Development Manager, where they implemented a common compression moulding design specification and successfully implemented new moulding projects. From 1994 to 1997, they were a Manufacturing Technologist at Mitras Automotive, where they implemented SMED, SPC, and Kaizen techniques and optimized processes. From 1997 to 2005, they served as the Technical Director/Engineering Manager at Polynorm Plastics, overseeing compression moulding operations and implementing cost savings programs. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as an Operations Manager at Craemer UK, managing injection moulding projects and successfully commissioning a new manufacturing facility. From 2007 to 2009, they were the Composites Development Manager at Teledyne CML Group, achieving significant business growth and maintaining high quality and delivery performance. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Technical Operations Manager at Straight PLC, managing third-party manufacturing facilities and procurement. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Plant Director at Plastic Omnium. Finally, since 2012, Paul has been with Victrex, where they have held various leadership roles, including Head of Applied Technology and Global Technical Services, Head of R&D for the Electronics and Manufacturing & Engineering SBU's, and currently, as the Head of Global Technical Services. In their current role, they are responsible for leading the technical department, coordinating the business response to customer needs, and ensuring the viability and competitive advantage of new products.
Paul Corscadden attended St Patrick's College in Belfast from 1974 to 1981, although the degree name and field of study are unknown. Paul then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Nottingham, from 1981 to 1984. Lastly, they obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Liverpool, completing their studies from 1985 to 1988.
