Philippe Raisin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Philippe is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CTO of VIDA, a SaaS platform for geographic monitoring for development. In this role, they lead a team of engineers and has achieved significant impact, including acquiring more than 200 users, including major development banks, multinational, and small companies.

Prior to VIDA, Philippe worked as a Product Manager at TFE Energy, where they focused on addressing the challenge of universal access to energy. Philippe was responsible for finding and characterizing villages for electrification, streamlining the process and improving accuracy.

Philippe also has experience as a Co-Founder at 8photonics GmbH, where they aimed to revolutionize laser system design and assembly. At 8photonics, they developed a set of building blocks that enable professionals to build laser systems faster and more efficiently.

Furthermore, Philippe has worked as a Student Researcher in machine learning at ARTORG Center for Computer Aided Surgery and in photonics at Universität Bern. In these roles, they worked on projects related to the design and testing of laser devices and quality control of optical fibers.

Additionally, Philippe has experience as a Researcher at APRI Advanced Photonics Research Institute at GIST and as a Student Researcher in Materials Science at Empa. In these positions, they conducted research and contributed to the analysis of experimental samples and development of database software.

Throughout their career, Philippe has showcased their expertise in various domains, including technology development, product management, and research.

Philippe Raisin's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Bern. Philippe also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from the same university.
