Meir Fuchs

Meir Fuchs has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Meir started their career as an Application Developer, System Administrator, and Software Engineer at various companies while studying. Their responsibilities included testing software engineering, network and systems administration, and application and database programming.

After completing their studies, Meir worked as a Research Assistant and Developer at Tel-Aviv University, where they conducted research in molecular biology, bio-informatics, and computational algorithms. Meir also designed and implemented a high-performance software toolkit for structural bio-informatics.

Meir then joined RADVISION as a Team Leader, where they led the development teams for H. 323 Gatekeeper and SIP stack.

Meir later joined Bamboo MediaCasting Ltd. as the Director of Standardization and Architecture. In this role, Meir was responsible for the general design of product architecture, software and hardware components, and network interfaces. Meir also represented the company in 3GPP standards bodies, focusing on the development of a standard multicast and broadcast capability on GSM/GPRS/UMTS network (MBMS).

At Bamboo MediaCasting Ltd., Meir also served as the CTO, overseeing the company's IPR development, representation in mobile standards organizations (3GPP, OMA), and technology roadmap. Meir also defined and drove joint partner projects through the EU IST program.

Their next role at Bamboo MediaCasting Ltd. was as the V.P. R&D. In this position, Meir managed the company's research and development group, set high-level technology and product goals, guided product development, and improved the product's applicability to the market. Meir was also responsible for managing resources, project plans, costs, and budgets.

Most recently, Meir worked at Vidyo Inc. as the Director of Engineering. Meir grew, nurtured, and led a focused development team in producing user-facing video-conferencing software clients. Their involvement included product definition, technology, architecture, algorithms, and problem-solving. Under their leadership, the product portfolio expanded to encompass multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, and designated hardware) and was enhanced with numerous features, APIs, and plugins.

Meir Fuchs completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied from 1993 to 1996.
