Thang Nguyen

Thang Nguyen is an experienced IT Manager currently serving as the Head of Digital Banking and Payment at Vietcombank since November 2016, focusing on digital transformation in the Banking and Payment industry. Previously, Thang held the position of Director of Digital Payment at the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) from June 2015 to January 2017, where responsibilities included managing the national e-commerce gateway and value-added services system. Earlier career roles include serving as CTO at Smartlink Card. JSC from February 2011 to 2014 and as a Project Manager at Amadeus in 2010. Thang's foundation in banking technology was established at Vietcombank from 2003 to 2008 as a Banking Software Specialist. Academic qualifications include an MSc in International Marketing & Business Development from SKEMA Business School, an MBA from the French Vietnamese School of Management, and a Bachelor's degree in English and an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from Hanoi University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, respectively.
