Espen Hovland

Espen Hovland is the Group CFO at VIEW Ledger since February 2023, overseeing automated systems and outsourcing related to finance and accounting. Prior to this role, Hovland served as Chief Financial Controller for Santander Consumer Bank in the Nordics from July 2018 to February 2023, managing various aspects of financial analytics and reporting. Previously, Hovland held the position of CFO for Santander Consumer Bank AS in Sweden and Nordic Accounting Manager from October 2015 to June 2018. Hovland's career began at PwC Norway as a manager from August 2008 to October 2015, and earlier experience includes serving as a Sergeant in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in auditing and accounting from the Norwegian School of Economics and a Master of Arts in International Business from The University of Edinburgh. Additional education includes studies at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien and Befalskolen for feltartilleriet, along with a diploma from Oslo Handelsgymnasium.
