Michael Tobin

Michael Tobin has a strong background in operations, project management, and leadership roles within the military and private sector. Michael is currently working as a Regional Operations Manager at View, Inc., where they oversee operations across a designated region. Prior to this, they served as a Project Manager at the same company for three years.

Before joining View, Inc., Michael worked at Strategic Systems Programs as a Strategic Weapons System Curricula Officer from December 2016 to November 2018. In this role, they were responsible for developing curricula and training programs related to strategic weapons systems.

Michael also has extensive experience in the Navy, having served on various submarines. At USS Pennsylvania, they held the positions of Senior Watch Officer and Strategic Weapons Officer from April 2014 to August 2016. In these roles, they developed watch schedules, trained officers, and supervised weapons operations and maintenance.

Prior to that, Michael worked as an Instructor at the Naval Submarine School from October 2010 to April 2013. During this time, they conducted lectures, seminars, and labs to train submarine department heads in sonar and torpedo theory and implementation.

Earlier in their career, Michael served on the USS Providence (SSN-719) as the Assistant Engineering Officer, Main Propulsion Assistant, Damage Control Assistant, and Reactor Controls Assistant. Michael provided technical expertise, supervised and mentored junior officers, and assumed leadership roles in the absence of the Engineer.

Their career began on the USS Carl Vinson, where they initially served as a Reactor Operator from December 1999 to July 2002. Michael operated nuclear power reactors, adjusted controls, and responded to abnormalities. Michael later took on the role of Electronics Technician, where they repaired equipment, performed maintenance, and operated reactor control systems for surface ship nuclear propulsion plants.

Michael Tobin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South Florida, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. Michael also has a Master of Science degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Old Dominion University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013.
