Jim Cook

Jim Cook has a robust background in scientific research and leadership within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Scientific Leader at ViiV Healthcare since February 2018, Jim's prior experience includes various roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb from January 2007 to February 2018, where Jim progressed to Senior Research Scientist 2. Jim's career also encompasses significant positions at Bayer Pharmaceuticals from May 2001 to January 2007 and at The Institute for Diabetes Discovery from April 2000 to May 2001. Jim began the professional journey at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in September 1993 as an Associate Research Scientist and advanced to Principal Associate Research Scientist by the time of departure. Jim holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry, both obtained from Wright State University, complementing an education that began at Covington High School.
