Brian Kaufmann

Brian Kaufmann is Head of Private Equity responsible for managing the Private Equity team and a portfolio of private investments across sectors and geographies. Prior to his current role, Brian was a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst on Viking’s Public Equity team, responsible for identifying and researching investment ideas in the Healthcare sector. Prior to joining Viking in 2010, he was an Associate at TA Associates where he focused on private equity investments in the Healthcare and Business Services sectors. Brian started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in Merrill Lynch’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group. Brian received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a B.S. in applied economics and business management, magna cum laude, from Cornell University. In 2021, Brian was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum
