Pete Hughes

Pete Hughes is a highly experienced professional in community development and planning, currently serving as the Director of Community Development for the Village of North Riverside since February 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Development Director and Interim Planning Director at the City of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Executive Director at the Hopkins County Joint Planning Commission. Pete has also held positions such as Senior Planner at the Village of Pinehurst and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, and Planner at the City of Lubbock. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Policy from Virginia Tech, complemented by a Real Estate Pre-licensing certification from Sandhills Community College.
