Alec Carstairs

Alec Carstairs is an experienced leader with a diverse background in non-profit, consultancy, and corporate governance. Currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for Vine Trust, Carstairs has dedicated efforts to improving volunteer engagement and supporting underprivileged communities. As Managing Director of Cela Consulting Limited, Carstairs provides tailored business consultancy services, particularly in the oil and gas, professional services, and charity sectors. Previous roles include Non-Executive Director positions at RA International and Ithaca Energy, where strategic oversight and audit responsibilities were key. Carstairs also played a significant role in various charities, including Career Ready, Techfest, and the Developing Young Workforce, promoting youth engagement and STEM initiatives. An alumnus of the University of Glasgow, Carstairs holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree.
