Vanessa Niekamp

Vanessa Niekamp has extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Fiscal Officer for Violet Township since April 2020, Vanessa also holds the position of Executive Director at the Pickerington Food Pantry and has been elected President and continues as a member of the Pickerington Local School District Board since January 2014. Vanessa previously led as Executive Director for the State of Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, where Vanessa was recognized as President of the International Association of Executives of Funeral Service Boards. Prior professional roles include HR/Labor Relations Administrator at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and Federal Grant Administrator at the Ohio Attorney General's Office, where Vanessa significantly increased federal funding. With degrees in Business Administration and Jazz Studies from Capital University and an Associate's degree in Human Resources Management from Columbus State Community College, Vanessa combines diverse skills in administration, project management, and community service.
