Karen Frost is the Shelter Director for Casa Esperanza. She began her career at VIP in 2008 as a Case Manager at the College Avenue Apartments, where she discovered her passion for working with the homeless and addressing their mental health needs. After getting her Master’s in Social Work from CUNY, Hunter College in 2014, Ms. Frost transitioned into a full-time social worker at VIP’s 716 Residence when it was an all-women’s facility. In 2020, Ms. Frost transitioned from her Program Director role to her previous social worker role at the 716 Residence where she continues to show her support and dedication to her clients. Karen obtained her CASAC training through VIP.
