Courtney Hunter

Courtney Hunter, DVM, PhD, DACLAM, is a Clinical Veterinarian and Assistant Professor in the Division of Comparative Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with experience in the field since July 2021. Courtney also serves as an Independent Contractor for Vetco Clinics and VIP Petcare since July 2018. Prior to these roles, Courtney completed a Laboratory Animal Veterinary Residency at the University of Michigan from July 2018 to June 2021 and worked as a Veterinarian at RELIEF VETERINARIAN from May 2017 to July 2019. Courtney's educational background includes a PhD in Veterinary Medical Sciences and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Evolutionary Anthropology from Duke University. Additionally, Courtney has experience as a Modern/Ballet/Hip-Hop/Jazz Instructor at Dance Divine Ballet Company from 2011 to May 2018.
