Joanne Nijssen

Joanne Nijssen has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Joanne is currently the Vice President of Product Strategy at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Biogen from 2013 to 2023, where they held the role of Product Development and Commercialization Lead from September 2018 to March 2023 and Sr. Director, Asset Lead from 2013 to August 2019. Before joining Biogen, they worked at Pfizer from 1997 to 2013, where they held various positions including Clinical Supply Chain Leader from 2010 to 2013, Director, Enbrel Quality Product Leader from 1997 to 2010, Associate Director Network Quality from 2003 to 2006, and Manager Contractor Relations from 2002 to 2003.

Joanne Nijssen completed their MBA degree at Boston University from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology.
