Phillip Phiri

Phillip Phiri, PhD has extensive work experience in the biostatistics field. Phillip is currently working at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. as the Director of Biostatistics, a role they assumed in April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Research Scientist at Elanco from November 2017 to December 2021. Phillip also held the position of Biostatistics Director at Cogstate from August 2014 to June 2017. Before that, they worked as an Associate Principal Scientist in Biostatistics at Merck from November 2009 to August 2014. Prior to their tenure at Merck, they served as a Senior Statistician at Schering-Plough Research Institute from January 2008 to November 2009. Phillip has also held positions at Organon USA Inc as a Principal Statistician from April 2007 to January 2008 and at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Statistician/Senior Research Statistician from August 2002 to April 2007. Additionally, they contributed as a member of the NEPAD Council from 2003 to April 2005.

Phillip Phiri, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Applied Statistics and Econometrics in Range Science from Utah State University. Phillip also holds an MS degree in Statistics, an MS degree in Economics, and an MS degree in Range Science and Management, all from Utah State University.
