Peter Nickolenko

Peter Nickolenko is a highly experienced aerospace professional with extensive expertise in mission operations and engineering. Currently serving as Senior Director of Mission Operations at Virgin Galactic since January 2014, Peter has held various significant positions including Mission Operations/Special Projects and Chief Engineer, Operations. Prior to joining Virgin Galactic, Peter spent over two decades at NASA, where roles included Deputy Director of Ground Processing, Deputy Director of Launch Vehicle Processing, and Chief of the Launch & Landing Division, among others. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida.
