Dynamics Modeling And Simulation Engineer at Virgin Hyperloop

Ruiyang Wang currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering since August 2024. Prior to this role, Ruiyang held the position of Model-Based Controls Engineer at Boston Metal for a brief period in early 2024, and spent over two years as a Dynamics Modeling and Simulation Engineer at Hyperloop One, focusing on dynamic model development and high-fidelity simulations for the Hyperloop system. Ruiyang gained valuable experience as a Teaching Assistant at USC Viterbi School of Engineering, specializing in Control Systems Labs from 2016 to 2021. Earlier in the career, Ruiyang worked as a Control Engineer at Tonghua Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. and Laiwu Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., where skills in PLC/HMI programming and onsite control network implementation were developed. Ruiyang holds a PhD and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, in addition to two MS degrees and a BS in related fields from Northeastern University (CN).
