Enrique Medina Malo is Virgin Media O2’s General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer.
Enrique is responsible for providing expert and strategic advice on legal, regulatory and company secretarial matters in line with the overall business strategy.
He was previously the Chief Policy Officer for Telefónica, S.A, a position he held from 2014. Enrique joined Telefónica in 2006 and held a number of roles within the organsiation, including Head of Telecommunications and Information Society Legal Affairs, Head of Public Law, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, Europe.
During his career with Telefónica, his remit broadened to include regulatory and competition matters. Prior to Telefónica, Enrique started his career with a highly prestigious role in the Spanish Government Legal Service, which he served in from 2002-2004, before moving to the Spanish Broadcasting Corporation RTVE as Chief Legal Officer from 2004 until 2006.
