Jacquie Johnson

Director of Professional Development at Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities

Jacquie Johnson has worked in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion since 2009. Jacquie began their career at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where they held the roles of Supervisory Manager, Programmatic Diversity, Manager, Conferences and Training Diversity Programs, and Diversity Scholars Program Coordinator. In 2018, they joined the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, where they served as Director of Professional Development, Professional Development Coordinator, and Learning Facilitator. Additionally, in 2018, Johnson became an independent consultant, providing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility consulting services and training for national and international place-based and cultural organizations.

Jacquie Johnson holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology, International and Community Development from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Political Science from Old Dominion University. Jacquie also has three additional certifications: Engaging Community Certificate from the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond (obtained in June 2018), Diversity Management Certificate from the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (obtained in December 2016), and a Facilitation Skills Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) (obtained in October 2015).
