Vice President Of Programs, Formerly Director Of Programs & Youth Program Coordinator at Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities

Jessica Hawthorne has worked in a variety of roles across multiple organizations. In 2008, they began their career as a Student Assistant at the American Academy of Religion. In 2010, they worked as an Administrative Assistant and Social Media Manager at Jan-Pro of Richmond, and as an Advanced Sales Representative at Vector Marketing. In 2011, they joined the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities as the Vice President of Programs, formerly Director of Programs & Youth Program Coordinator, and also volunteered. In 2012, they became a Moderator and Member of the Strategic Planning Committee at the Richmond Area Diversity Roundtable, where they were in charge of Special Programs and moderated a discussion titled \"Embracing Religious Inclusion: A Dialogue with the Muslim Community\". Finally, in 2014, they became a Community Trustbuilding Fellow at Initiatives of Change/Hope in the Cities.

Jessica Hawthorne began their educational journey at Hermitage High School, where they earned an Advanced Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from 1998 to 2002. Jessica then attended the University of Virginia from 2002 to 2006, earning a B.S. in Religious Studies. In 2005, they studied French Language and Moroccan Civilization at ILCS, Rabat, Morocco. Finally, they earned an MTS in Christianity and Culture from Emory University from 2008 to 2010.
