Angela Zenon has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Angela is currently serving as the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer at Virginia Community Capital since May 2023. Prior to this, they co-owned Gotcha Covered of Bergen County starting from September 2021. From May 2011 to June 2021, Angela worked at the National Development Council as the Senior Vice President, where they led the Office of Impact Investing and spearheaded a $16 million investment in minority and female-led small businesses. Before that, they held the position of Vice President and CRA Officer at Carver Federal Savings Bank from April 2009 to May 2011. Angela also gained experience at Merrill Lynch as an Assistant Vice President, managing client relationships and participating in various equity and debt transactions. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Real Estate Development at the Faith Center For Community Development, where they led strategic planning and facilitated training series on accessing capital for real estate development. Angela started their career at Nortel Networks, holding roles such as District Sales Manager, Senior Sales Engineer, and Software Engineer, where they led teams, developed strategic proposals, and facilitated product development.
Angela Zenon has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia Business School. Angela obtained this degree in 2006. Prior to their MBA, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. Angela completed their undergraduate studies between 1989 and 1992.
