Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and positions. Peter currently works as the Chief Information Officer at Virginia Community Capital since September 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Technology Officer from February 2022 to September 2023, and as the Chief Technology Officer from March 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining Virginia Community Capital, Peter was the Executive Director of Technology at Stafford County Public Schools from November 2018 to March 2020. Peter also worked at NTT DATA Services as a Solution Architect - Strategic Advisor from May 2018 to November 2018.

In addition to their employment, Peter had a role as a Consultant while being self-employed from August 2017 to May 2018. Before that, they served as the Chief Information Officer at USAC from March 2015 to July 2017. Peter also held the position of Director of Technology at Henrico County Public Schools from October 2012 to March 2015.

Prior to their work in the education sector, Peter was employed at the Federal Reserve System, where they worked as an Enterprise Architect and Manager from April 2004 to October 2012. Peter led multiple teams responsible for the support and management of e-commerce infrastructure for large financial applications.

Earlier in their career, Peter worked at Capital One as a Development Manager and Enterprise Architect from May 1998 to April 2004.

Throughout their career, Peter Taylor has gained significant experience in technology leadership, strategic planning, and architectural management.

Peter Taylor obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Florida, which they attended from 1987 to 1991. Peter later pursued a Master of Science degree in the Management of IT from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2006 to 2007.
