Amanda Cox

Amanda Cox is an experienced project manager with a comprehensive background in transportation and mining sectors. Currently serving as a Project Manager at the Virginia Department of Transportation since August 2022, Amanda previously held key positions including Deputy Design Build Project Manager and Design Build Coordinator at Branch Civil from April 2019 to September 2022. Earlier experience with the Virginia Department of Transportation from 2006 to 2019 included serving as Program Manager for significant transportation programs such as the Appalachian Development Highway System and Coalfields Expressway. Amanda's career began with the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy as a Minerals Specialist, overseeing project development for the Abandoned Mine Land Program, and earlier as a Mining Engineer at Consol Energy, where Amanda managed environmental compliance efforts. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Virginia Tech.
