Emma McLaughlin

Emma McLaughlin is currently serving as a Notes Editor for the Virginia Law Review since February 2023 and has gained experience as a Summer Associate at Latham & Watkins from May to July 2023. Previously, Emma worked as a Civil Division Extern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California during the summer of 2022 and as a Legal Assistant at Lankford & Reed, PLLC from October 2020 to June 2021. Emma also contributed as a Fellow for Kamala Harris For The People in the summer of 2019 and as a Development Intern for the Children's Defense Fund in 2018. Emma is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) at the University of Virginia School of Law, expected to graduate in May 2024, and earned an undergraduate degree from Davidson College from 2016 to 2020.
