Santiago Montalvo

Santiago Montalvo's work experience includes serving as a Staff Counsel at Virginia REALTORS® since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Controls Design Engineer at Havtech from May 2021 to April 2022. Santiago also worked as an Attorney At Law at Montalvo Law LLC from December 2020 to April 2022. Additionally, they held the role of Senior Programmer at Colorado Controls from August 2020 to April 2021. Previously, they worked at Siemens as a Specialist from December 2014 to July 2020. Santiago has also gained legal experience as a Student Attorney at the American University Washington College of Law, where they represented clients in legal matters and conducted legal research. Before their legal career, Santiago served in the United States Army Reserve as a Soldier from May 2010 to June 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Regulatory Specialist at Lincoln Financial Group from September 2011 to August 2014.

Santiago Montalvo began their education journey in 2007 when they enrolled at Indiana University Bloomington. Santiago pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government, completing their studies in 2009.

In 2016, they furthered their education by attending the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC Law). Here, they pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree and remained until 2017.

Santiago Montalvo then transitioned to the American University Washington College of Law, where they continued their pursuit of a JD degree from 2017 to 2020, specializing in Law.

Alongside their academic achievements, Santiago Montalvo obtained several certifications. In December 2020, they became an "Attorney and Counselor - Inactive" through the Colorado State Supreme Court. Subsequently, in October 2021, they obtained the title of "Attorney and Counselor" from the Court of Appeals of Maryland. Most recently, in June 2022, Santiago Montalvo acquired the designation of "Attorney" from the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Furthermore, Santiago Montalvo obtained additional certifications from various institutions. In March 2022, they received the Certification of "Amateur Extra" from the Federal Communications Commission. Santiago also obtained the title of "Post-License/Continuing Education Instructor - Real Estate" from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in May 2023.
