Dane Honrado

Dane Honrado is an experienced professional in investment decision support and research, currently serving as Research Director at the Virginia Retirement System since September 2015, after previously holding the position of Research Manager. Dane's extensive background includes a 27-year career in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of CAPT and serving as a Submarine Officer. Prior to the Virginia Retirement System, Dane worked at Dominion in various managerial roles, including Senior Development Manager for Natural Gas Infrastructure and Manager of Alternative Energy Generation Technologies. Dane also gained experience as a Quantitative Developer at Potential Energy Funds and as a Manager in Trading Support at Dominion. Educational qualifications include an MS in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, an MBA with a Finance Concentration from Chaminade University of Honolulu, and a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Virginia Tech.
