Don Maffei

Don Maffei has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Don'smost recent role was as the VP of Finance & Administration at Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation, where they oversaw financial operations. Prior to that, they served as the Interim President & CEO at the same company.

Before joining Virginia Tech, Maffei worked at Maffei Financial Services, where they were the President. In this position, they provided part-time CFO expertise to small government contractors and nonprofits, helping them with financial management, strategic planning, and taxes.

Maffei also held the role of VP of Finance & Operations at Rising Edge Technologies for nearly two decades. In this role, they managed various aspects of the company's operations including finance, accounting, human resources, and facility management. Don also coordinated two rounds of angel financing.

Earlier in their career, Maffei worked as the Director of Programs at Metratek and as a Senior Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
