Faraz A. Alderson

Faraz A. Alderson, PhD, MRSC, serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University since January 2024. In parallel, Faraz has held various senior leadership positions at Virox Technologies Inc. since May 2012, including Chief Science Officer and Executive Vice President for R&D, Open Innovation, and Regulatory Affairs. Faraz possesses extensive experience in research and development, having previously worked as a Structural Biochemistry Research Scientist at McMaster University and as a Research Scholar at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Faraz holds a Doctorate in Mechanical & Chemical Engineering from the University of Guelph, along with additional qualifications in Executive Leadership from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and other institutions, complemented by an Honors B.Sc. in Life Science and Biochemistry from McMaster University.
