Giovanni Yruela, MBA, JD

Giovanni Yruela, MBA, JD currently serves as a Core Team member for both DigiArt and Meta Hollywood. Prior to this, they were the Director of Virtual Dining Concepts from 2020. From 2009 to 2021, they were President of Partnerships & Alliances and Associate General Counsel/Human Resources Lead at Earl Enterprises. In this role, they were responsible for HR management, employment and labor law, risk and litigation, and intellectual property. This included sourcing and implementing a full-service ATS, LMS and onboarding system, creating and implementing an ADR program, creating HR infrastructure from the ground up, managing a nine person HR department, analyzing the ACA and implementing strategies to mitigate insurance costs, auditing time keeping software to ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws, negotiating union contracts and MOUs, reducing litigation expenses, ensuring federal and state law compliance, assisting in the selection of the company's comprehensive insurance program, evaluating, mitigating, and preventing EPL, WC, GL, AL and property claims, conducting preliminary TM research, filing domestic and international TMs, drafting responses to office actions and cancellation proceedings, reviewing TM searches, and investigating relevant listings for use.

Giovanni Yruela earned their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University in 1999-2006. Giovanni then attended Barry University - Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where they received their Juris Doctor in 2007-2010. Giovanni returned to Florida International University in 2013-2014 to receive their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
