Alyson Iarrusso

Alyson Iarrusso is an experienced education professional specializing in Social Studies. Currently serving as a Social Studies Content Expert at Southern New Hampshire University since January 2020, Alyson assesses graduate student transcripts and provides guidance on coursework. Previous roles include University Supervisor and Adjunct Faculty Instructor for graduate students in the Secondary Education Teach for America Cohort, and supervision of Social Studies Secondary Student Teachers. Alyson has taught high school Social Studies at the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School since July 2013 and held positions in various educational institutions, including a Social Studies Teacher at Newmarket Junior/Senior High School, Mentor Program Coordinator for Newmarket School District, and as a member of the State of Hawaii Social Studies Content Panel Board. With a Master's in History from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor's in History from Marist College, Alyson has a comprehensive background in curriculum development and teacher mentorship.
