Kelly Dugan has a diverse work experience in healthcare, focusing on clinical denials, coding, and revenue cycle management. Kelly started their career at National Healthcare Review as a Charge Auditor II and worked there for eight years. Kelly then moved on to Amenity Consulting LLC as a Clinical Charge Manager for a year. Kelly joined Conifer Health Solutions as a Revenue Cycle Appellate Clinician and later became the Manager of Operations - Clinical Denials, where they worked for six years. Following that, they worked as a Clinical Denials and Coding Consultant at Claro Healthcare, LLC for a year. Currently, they are employed at Virtual Business Office Associates as a Clinical Auditor and has been promoted to the role of Clinical Denials Team Lead.

Kelly Dugan BSN, RN, CPC, CRCR has a diverse education history. Kelly obtained their Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Lamar State College-Port Arthur from 2010 to 2012. In 1993 and 1994, Kelly completed Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training at St. Philip's College. Currently, they are pursuing an MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University. In terms of certifications, Kelly holds the HFMA's Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association, acquired in 2016. Kelly is also a Registered Nurse, certified by the Texas Board of Nursing in 2012. In 2009, they became a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through AAPC. Furthermore, in 1994, they obtained a license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse from the Texas Board of Nursing.
