Ryan Partington

Ryan Partington has a diverse range of experience in the IT field. Ryan started their career as an IT Helpdesk at Princes Foods BV in 2000 and worked there for five years. In 2005, they joined Gardner Systems plc as a Systems Engineer, where they installed and supported IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Windows Active Directory, and Exchange. Ryan then moved on to One Step IT in 2008, working as an IBM Solution Consultant, where they led the design and implementation of disaster recovery solutions using IBM hardware and software. From 2011 to 2016, Ryan worked at ICU Group as an Infrastructure Specialist, providing third-line support for private sector clients and maintaining and evolving Microsoft architecture. Currently, they serve as the Network Operations Lead - Senior Network Engineer at Virtue Technologies Limited, where they configure and deploys network solutions for the Education sector, with a focus on edge firewall configuration and support.

Ryan Partington attended New Heys CC from 1995 to 2000, where they studied English, Maths, Science, Systems and Control, IT, French, Geography, and Religious Education. After completing their education at New Heys CC, Ryan obtained additional certifications including Sophos Certified Architect - XG Firewall from Sophos in March 2016, and MCSE Security+ from Microsoft in December 2004.
