Roland Dubois is the XR Accessibility Lead at Virtuleap. Roland is also a product design consultant for XR, specializing in UI/UX design and front-end development for immersive experiences on the web. In addition, they are a member/contributor of the W3C immersive web working group and the host of the WebXR New York Meetup.
Previously, Roland was with Shop-Ware as their Product Design Manager and UX Lead. Roland was also an adjunct faculty for UI/UX in AR/VR/MR at the School of Visual Arts.
Roland has been with Virtuleap for 4 years, where they started as their UX Advisor. Roland later became their XR Accessibility Lead and Co-founder and CXO (Product). At Virtuleap, they work on biometric algorithms that leverage modern neuroscience research and machine learning to translate body language in VR, AR, and 3D environments into psychographics and demographics. They have recently emerged from stealth-mode and their API is ready to go for pilot projects with companies in both the enterprise and consumer sectors. They are also currently developing an edutainment app called the Attention Lab, which will feature a series of gamified experiments that are powered by their tech in order to teach players about how their brains work.
