Marco Scanu completed their BSBA degree in Finance from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business in 1987, cum laude. Marco then went on to receive an MBA from SDA Bocconi in 1988-1989. In 2005, they were a Research Scholar - Humphrey Fellowship at Michigan State University, studying high-growth entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. In 2010, they completed the Proficient Coach Program from the University of Miami.
