Abhishek Vats

Abhishek Vats is an experienced professional in the payments and financial services industry, currently serving as the Head of Acceptance, Merchant Sales and Acquiring for Asia Pacific at Visa since July 2018. In this role, Abhishek leads the Merchant Sales and Acquiring team in Singapore, focusing on acceptance strategy, enhancing Visa merchant volume, and developing market share. Prior to Visa, Abhishek served as VP of Partnerships at Adyen, where strategic products and partnerships were built to enhance global payments capabilities for merchants. Abhishek's experience also includes leadership roles at ZALORA Group, where oversight of payments and fraud teams was provided, and an internship at the Bank of China, which involved market expansion strategies. Abhishek started a career as a Senior Software Engineer at Infosys, contributing to projects related to credit card issuance automation. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance & Strategy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, along with an engineering degree in Information Technology from Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
