Eric Spapens

Eric Spapens currently serves as the Head of Merchant Sales & Acquiring for Belgium and Luxembourg at Visa, beginning in July 2024. Prior to this role, Eric held multiple positions at Worldline from May 2015 to July 2024, including Marketing and Public Affairs Director for the Benelux region and Director of Strategic Marketing Partnerships. Eric has significant experience in marketing strategy, public affairs, campaign management, and commercial planning, overseeing a team of 35 marketing and sales specialists. Before Worldline, Eric worked in various marketing roles at companies such as EPI Company, Qelp, Orange, Canal +, Sony, and Decathlon. Eric's educational background includes Master's degrees in Marketing Management from Hogeschool Universiteit Brussel and Katholieke Universiteit Brussel, as well as professional development at Vlerick Business School.
