Katharine Norwood

Katharine Norwood currently serves as the VP of Global Innovation, UX Research & Strategy at Visa, a position held since August 2023. Prior to Visa, Katharine held key roles at Google, including Head of UX Research + Strategy and Head of UX Strategy for Google Cloud Web, from December 2017 to April 2023. Earlier experience includes serving as Group Strategy Director and Strategy Director at Odopod Design, with tenures from 2013 to 2017, and Director of Strategy at Greenberg from 2012 to 2013. Academic contributions were made at the Institute for Advanced Feminist Research at UCSC, where Katharine progressed from Researcher/Writer/Strategist to Assistant Director from 2001 to 2007. Educational credentials include a PhD candidacy in Literature and Feminist Studies from Rutgers University and the University of California, Santa Cruz.
